What is a Notification?

Roboro offers automated alerts to keep you informed on key updates for bills you are tracking and monitoring. These notifications are triggered by specific legislative actions and delivered by email or text message. Notifications help ensure that your team stays up to date on the bills that matter most.

Setting Up Global Notifications

  • Notifications is where you can manage your global notifications that would apply to all tracked bills.
  • By default, you are set up to receive:
    • Email alerts for all Tracked Bills, immediately after a new bill action or new/updated calendar event; and
    • Email alerts for Suggested Bills of HIGH Impact for you or your clients, immediately after a new bill is introduced or a bill has been amended.
  • Click on the blue "edit" button to make changes.
  • To add a new notification, click on the green “plus” button. Notifications can be customized and filtered in many different ways. When adding a new notification, you will be able to configure:
    • Bill Type: Tracked or Suggested bills
    • Trigger Events: New edition, new vote, new action, or new/updated calendar event
    • Notification Type: Email or Text Message
    • Recipients: Specific users or all client owners
    • Delivery Timing: Immediately, or at the beginning/end of the day, or at the beginning/end of the week
    • Bill Impact Level: Low, Medium, or High
    • Client Scope: All clients or a specific client(s)

Tip: If you would like to receive text notifications - add your cell phone number in Users. Click on the user's name to add a phone number to receive text alerts.

Setting Up Notifications for an Individual Bill

Roboro also allows you to customize alerts for an individual bill. After you begin tracking a bill, select the "Alerts" button in the top ribbon. Here, you will see the option to add "Additional Notifications Specific to This Bill". When adding a new notification for a bill, you can configure:

  • Trigger Events: New edition, new vote, new action, or new/updated calendar event
  • Notification Type: Email or Text
  • Recipients: Specific users to be notified
  • Delivery Timing: Immediately, or at the beginning/end of the day/week
