What is Member Insights?

Member Insights provides a comprehensive view of every member of the state legislature, allowing you to quickly understand their bill activity, vote history, and legislative behavior. Whether you are conducting research, preparing for a meeting, or shaping strategy, Member Insights helps you advocate proactively - with the most influential legislators - for the issues you care about most.

How to Use Member Insights

From the Members section, you can browse legislators and explore key details about their actions.

You can filter by party, chamber, and/or member name. You can sort by member name, recent sponsored action date, or party consistency.

Viewing Member Details

Click on a member to view their profile. When you open a member's profile, you will see a comprehensive view of their legislative activity.

At the top, you will see a short profile, including their district and contact information.

There are also many fields that you can fill in - including their birthday, social media profiles, and a short description. Any information you add is private to your organization and will not be visible to other Roboro users.

The Member Insights Summary shows what committee memberships and chairmanships a member holds, along with quick statistics regarding their legislative activity and voting habits, including:

  • The number of bills that they Sponsored (where they are First Sponsor)
  • The number of bills that they Sponsored that became law
  • The percentage of bills that they Sponsored that became law
  • The percentage of time they vote with their party
  • The percentage of time they vote with the majority

Scroll down further on the page for more details on these metrics, including:

  • Voting Insights - Highlights the specific floor votes where the member voted differently from their party
  • Sponsored Bills (First Primary) - Shows bills for which the member is the first primary sponsor

At the bottom of the page, you also have space for Member Notes:

  • Member Notes - Add any notes you may have about the legislator. Any information you add is private to your organization and will not be visible to other Roboro users
