Using Search

In this article:

Using Roboro's Search

Unlike traditional keyword-based search, Roboro's Search uses AI and Natural Language Processing to identify not only the exact text you are searching for, but also the related context, intent, and meaning of your search.

For example, if you search for "hemp", we'll also look for related topics like "Delta-9," "marijuana," "cannabinoids," "controlled substances," etc. to make sure we capture every bill that could be relevant for your search.
You can search for bills and ask questions just like you would in Google.

Editing Your Search

After you run a search, you can refine it without starting over. Words or phrases underlined in purple can be edited. Click on an editable element to change it, add to it, or remove it, and select "Refresh with Changes" to update your results.

Understanding Relevance Indicators

Roboro considers three types of relevance matches when it comes to your search results:

  • Concepts - the related context, intent, and meaning of your search
  • Keywords - the exact text match of your search
  • Related Topics - additional / similar topics that are commonly connected to your search

You'll see bar indicators under each bill showing how strongly it matches each category – this will help you quickly determine why a bill appeared in the results.

Sort and Filter Results

You can customize how your results appear using the filter and sort options.

Select "Edit Filter" to choose which relevance filters to include for your search results.

You can sort your search results in different ways: by relevance, bill number, bill title, last action date, or impact.
